This page is for requesting the creation of a user account on the Wikimedia Foundation's website (not on any other wiki).

To ensure that users are already familiar with the policies of at least one Wikimedia project, only administrators or foundation committee members may apply for an account. If you are not already an administrator, please see the request for adminship page on your local wiki (this should be linked from Wikimedia projects). Creation of an account is not automatic and is subject to approval by the Board of Trustees.
To ensure that requests are not forged, only registered users on meta can submit requests. Please keep this page on your watchlist and check back on your request; you may be asked for more information before a request is accepted or rejected. If you do not respond, your request may be rejected.

Trust cannot be transferred. Chlewey, I don't know you, is there anyone who speak for you? (Except Sir James Paul, I don't know him either. He has no good reason to say here "we").

Despite helping to keep tidy WMF pages in Spanish, just as Drini... I am also interesting in translating.

Just a question: what kind of refferences are needed? Most of my maintanence work has been developed in eswiki while little in meta or commons. Do you believe I have to make a name here first?

P.S. as for the typo, in the section "Especificaciones de color", the description of the forth color has a typo. I guess it is a broken line that is breaking the table. "bgcolor" is broken, I guess. I cannot see the wiki code, so I am just guessing.

Thank you for letting us typo, we'll fix them. Just curious, if you are interested in translation, why not join? Here is the place for translation, not there, unless you prefer to make your work locally on your PC. There are right now a lots of translation request, but you haven't showed interest; you made no translation as far as I know, I have therefore no idea if you are really interested in translation. Thanks Drini for your comment. I'll take it consider. As for my own criteria, see my userpage, there I put some criteria about issuing accounts. Yes, he would be nice and great. His interest may be sincere. But those who I would like to work with are not only whom I can trust but also those who understand the way of our working and respect it. I repeat meta is the right workplace for those who are interested in WMF translation, and I wouldn't like to issue any account to those who doesn't share this idea. It is not a matter of trust, but rather more the way of working as a team. And currently I have no clue if you share that, Chlewey, that is why I nor reject your request and close, nor accept it. Thank you for your comment. I am afraid you misunderstand what is requirement. There is no relevance between local flag and your involvement into Foundation activities; Sysopship is a minimum criteria for people we don't know closely. Also, he contacted me as Transcom chair already, and began to involve our activities, I think, both he and I need no other person's endorsement. copyedit 以外に、TR/WMF@Meta と WMF の内容の統一性を保つ作業があって、これが案外なおざりになりがちです。copyedit を向こうで行っていただいた場合には、meta の英文原稿にも同じ変更を反映させる必要があります（でないと古い内容で翻訳が作られることになりがちです）。あちらで copyedit をしたいという方は多いのですが、また copyedit だけならさほど問題はないのですが、重大な内容の変更をした場合でも、meta の TR との一貫性を保つということには関心のない方が多く、そうしますとかえって翻訳関係者の作業量が増大したり、他言語との齟齬が増幅したりということにこれまで残念ながらなってきております。ですので、わたくし個人といたしましては、あちらでの編集にだけ関心があるという英語話者の方のアカウント申請には、やや慎重な態度をとりたいと考えております。

I confess our platform are poorly maintained, sorry and sorry, but for translators, meta is workplace, not the WMF itself.

Your aim sounds good but not necessarily relevant to have an account on the Foundation wiki, which it is a promo wiki, not discussion wiki. To have contact with the Foundation, you only need to subscribe foundation-l and communicate with the involved people. You may want to put your suggestions to the mailinglist.

well... let me share a little think... i study engineer not because i "wanna be engineer"... that is no important for me... i only study because i wanna have some "level and voice" for the people recognize my motivation, ideas an work, and in the future, has the social-power to can do good things... if i need to participate on a mailing list to contribute (i must say, mailing list is a poor idea), so... im not interesed. im gonna continue developing my idea.... by myself... and of course, complementing wikipedia esp.
