Global rollback for MathXplore
- Global user: MathXplore (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA)
- Not ending before 6 March 2023 05:48 UTC
I no longer have any CAPTCHA troubles with cross-wiki activities but I still see some Wikivoyages stopping my reverts with SWViewer, seems to be a different reason from CAPTCHA. I would like to apply for this permission to avoid these issues. Since I use not only SWViewer but also local "recent changes" pages, I think Global Rollbacker rights can help my patrolling with this option. Some samples of my reverts can be seen at my user page. Thank you for the attention. MathXplore (talk) 05:48, 1 March 2023 (UTC)

- The Wikivoyages give an error message on SWViewer, talking about some kind of "authorization". When I had CAPTCHA issues at SWViewer the given error message was just "unknown error" so I think the things that I had at Wikivoyages are different from CAPTCHA. I remember that I had this at the German and Italian Wikivoyages for several times, and the latest case I had was on the Ukrainian Wikivoyage. MathXplore (talk) 08:00, 5 March 2023 (UTC)

Global rollback for Svartava
- Global user: Svartava (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA)
- Not ending before 10 March 2023 14:15 UTC
Hello, I have been active as a member of SWMT and a cross-wiki patroller. Having global rollback rights would be quite useful and convenient, especially when dealing with vandals / spammers who disrupt multiple wikis and their edits have to be individually reverted. In some cases, being able to use mass-rollback at any wiki for reverting a bunch of edits at one click would also be handy. Kindly let me know if there are any concerns! Thanks. (P.S. have been suggested to consider this at two instances.) --Svartava (talk) 14:15, 5 March 2023 (UTC)
- Question: Can you please explain this edit? Thanks —MdsShakil (talk) 14:44, 5 March 2023 (UTC)
- I reverted that edit since it changed the blue link already present to a two separate red links. Moreover, I could not find clear information on the web for that and stumbled upon an old version of the corresponding en.wiki article that said the train had class 2900 locomotive only (i.e. matched with the information before the edit). Though that revert might have been a bit aggressive, so I appologize for the error from my side. But mostly I refrain from such edits and don't even revert all content removal edits without making sure it was legitimate / sourced content or the edit was a clearly bad faith edit. - Neutral. I might come out as hasty with my neutral !vote, but their response to MdsShakil's doesn't exactly convince me as they don't seem to take full responsibility for their error(s). --SHB2000 (talk | contribs) 07:29, 6 March 2023 (UTC)

Hello everybody. Hope you all are doing well. I am here to request global rename permission to assist rename requests. I want to mostly focus on indic Wikis and meta. I contribute to multiple projects including wikivoyage, wikitionery, meta, and others. I am also acting global rollbacker, as well as locally at hi.wiki and I hope this tool can prove helpful. I am aware of the global policy username and rename, I would like to help with requests coming from Indic wikis, I know that I won't misuse the tool. Thanks -J. Abuse filter helper for Tamzin
- Global user: Tamzin (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA)
I am an administrator, SPI clerk, and edit filter manager on enwiki, and a global renamer; even prior to adminship on enwiki I was an abuse filter helper there. On enwiki I have written all or parts of complex filters like 1200 (mass pronoun changes) and 1238 (private filter matching several doxxing patterns). I also have extensive experience finding filter bugs, having once managed to catch a bug that prevented new users from using the letter "j" anywhere on enwiki. There have been a number of times when it would have been helpful to me to view filter hits on Meta or sister wikis in the course of cross-wiki anti-sockpuppetry work. Ultimately I was spurred to request this right because I proposed a regex for a filter here on Meta, but will not be able to adequately monitor the filter as it is private. For that reason, among others, I think I would be able to better serve the community as an abuse filter helper, with a focus on abusive usernames and managing false positives.
(The policy page on this doesn't really say what the expectations are so if I'm woefully underqualified, someone just say so and I'll withdraw.)
en-N, fr-3, tok-3, can read most Romance languages well enough. This statement available upon request in either of the other languages I speak. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she|they|xe) 01:19, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
- Q (Q) is this only needed for Meta? In that case, maybe limited adminship restricted for filters is the better way to go? ~~~~
User:1234qwer1234qwer4 (talk) 01:34, 6 March 2023 (UTC)- The desire to help on Meta is what spurred me to do this, but there have been other situations in the past where I would have been able to investigate cross-wiki abuse better with this access. I've also seen any number of EF false positives across various wikis that I couldn't easily investigate. I'm not opposed to requesting limited adminship instead if AFH is going to be a non-starter, but I think I could do more good with the latter. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she|they|xe) 01:40, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
