Lucas Hay (Oscar Curtis) and Dillon Ray (Nathaniel Dass) will receive support from an unexpected source in Hollyoaks next week as their war with Tom Cunningham (Ellis Hollins) rages on.

The popular couple, known to fans as HayRay, are keen to raise some money for a holiday, but later this week they encounter a bit of an obstacle in the form of Tom.

With their plan involving starting a business in the park, Tom – a stickler for the rules – reminds the teens that they haven’t got a permit.

But Dillon and Lucas aren’t giving up without a fight, which prompts Tom to seek help from DS Zoe Anderson (Garcia Brown), who shuts down the duo’s business.

In a bid to get revenge, the boys post Tom falling into the paddling pool online! This proves to be the final straw for Tom, who starts a poster campaign to completely discredit their business.

Is this the end of Lucas and Dillon’s plans? Or will the couple get that holiday they crave so desperately?

The latter option isn’t quite off the table yet, with Liberty Savage (Jessamy Stoddart) coming to their rescue, as she signs Dillon and Lucas up to work for her, determined to prove Tom wrong about the teens.

Go Lib!

In the wake of such a thing, Tom mellows and extends an olive branch of his own, offering Dillon and Lucas a job.

Lucas and Dillon, as viewers know, are keen to get away from the village for a little bit, given all that they’ve been through this year.

With Lucas finally free from Carter Shepherd’s (David Ames) grasp, the two opened up about their true feelings for each other, embarking on a romance.

Misbah Maalik (Harvey Virdi) had her reservations about such a thing, especially after finding out that they’d slept together but she ultimately gave Lucas and Dillon her blessing to be together.
