Hollyoaks stars Ruby O’Donnell and Nathaniel Dass have gone social media official with their romance.

The actors, who play Peri Lomax and Dillon Ray respectively, were pictured sharing a hug and smiling in a beautiful snap shared by Ruby, who captioned the post with a simple red heart.

The soap stars received support from their fellow cast members, with Cleo McQueen star Nadine Mulkerrin writing: ‘You guyyyyyysssssss’, followed by a series of heart, fire and clapping emojis.

Ellie Henry, who plays Freya Calder, wrote: ‘This makes me very happy,’ while Frankie Osborne star Isabelle Smith said: ‘you guys’.

Diane Hutchinson star Alex Fletcher added a heart eye emoji while Nikki Sanderson (who portrays Maxine Minniver) simply commented with: ‘Love’.

Fans speculated that Ruby and Nate may be an item after the pair posted similar Instagram stories of weekends away – most recently of a trip to the Lake District.

Ruby also appeared to be tease her new relationship when she posted pictures from a romantic holiday in Paris, sharing a snap of her legs alongside someone else’s beneath the Eiffel Tower.

Ruby has portrayed Peri Lomax since 2013.

Nathaniel joined the Channel 4 soap last year and has been at the centre of a huge storyline in the months that followed, with character Dillon embarking on a relationship with Lucas Hay (Oscar Curtis).

Lucas, as viewers will know, was targeted by conversion therapist Carter Shepherd (David Ames). Dillon proved instrumental in ending his ordeal, telling the teen just how much he loved him.

Lucas subsequently came out and, in powerful, scenes he and Dillon decided to make a go of things, with scenes last month seeing the two officially become boyfriends.
