We’ve found the biggest football fan and it is none other than singer and all-round icon Adele, who got incredibly serious about the Euro 2024 semi-final.

The Hello hitmaker appeared nervous as she watched Gareth Southgate’s squad take on the Netherlands in Dortmund, Germany on Wednesday night (July 10).

One particularly tense moment saw the 36-year-old star yelling ‘Shut up!’ at the crowd as she tried to focus on the unfolding penalty kick.

Clasping her hands together, Adele leaned towards the pitch before erupting into applause as Harry Kane scored the much-needed penalty.

The cameraman unfortunately panned away to find fellow superstar Ed Sheeran in the crowd at this moment, before frantically returning for Adele’s celebrations.

Kane’s penalty and Ollie Watkins’ goal secured the win at the last minute and England made it to the final, where they’ll face off against Spain.

Throughout the game, the Grammy winner was glued to the action on the pitch, her face summing up how the nation felt, watching with bated breath and hoping for victory.

At points, the Rolling in the Deep singer stood from her seat to get a better view of the on-pitch happenings, eyes wide and palms clasped together.

The star was joined by a friend and occasionally had a drink in hand, plus a fan in the other to keep cool.

Still looking as glam as ever, the mum-of-one kept it casual in a white tee and structured black blazer, but accessorised with statement gold jewellery.

She wore her blonde locks in her typical bouncy style and, of course, her signature eyeliner and matte nude lip.

In a video shared after England’s win, the powerhouse vocalist was captured cheering and beaming with pride after Ollie Watkins’ 90th-minute goal, which sealed the team’s fate.

Posted to Instagram by Rio Ferdinand, the clip shows Adele sitting in front of the football icon, whose caption read: ‘WHAT A GOAL… WATKINS!!! Get in there @england 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿❤️’

This won’t have been a flying visit to Germany for Adele either.

She’ll be in Germany throughout August for her series of open-air concerts in Munich, as she takes a detour from her Las Vegas residency.

There were plenty of A-listers in attendance, as devout footie fan Ed Sheeran joined her to witness the 2-1 win with his own eyes.

Having already attended various games throughout the tournament, the Shape of You vocalist put in a typically patriotic appearance, donning a red England shirt.

Following the result, Ed was in high spirits as he chatted with friends.

It’s now back to training for England ahead of the inevitably nail-biting final of Euro 2024.

It takes place at the Olympiastadion in Berlin on Sunday with kick-off at 8pm BST.
