Olivia Munn and John Mulaney are finally celebrating happy news after secretly marrying in an intimate New York ceremony.
The actress, 44, and the comedian, 41, who are parents to two-year-old son Malcolm Hiệp, recently took their relationship to the next level.
A source close to Mulaney told People magazine that the couple married over the weekend at a friend’s home in New York.
The source said that only the couple’s son and a witness were in the room at the time of the nuptials, with no other guests in attendance.
The news comes after Munn revealed her breast cancer diagnosis via Instagram in March.
After telling fans about her condition, she posted a message thanking fans for their support and well wishes: ‘I’m really grateful for all the love and support I’ve received about my diagnosis that I shared yesterday.
‘Reading your stories and comments has really meant a lot to me and I just wanted to express my gratitude for all of it.’
During an interview with Vogue in May, Mulaney spoke out about his partner’s fight with cancer.
‘Olivia and I have been through a lot of things together in the past couple years,’ he said. ‘Just side-by-side, supporting each other through anything. And as her guy, I felt both scared and protective. Even with Malcolm in her lap and me there holding her hand, she was going to be physically fighting this disease alone.’
Munn has also been outspoken about how supportive Mulaney has been throughout her illness: ‘It would’ve felt like climbing an iceberg without him’ Munn told People Magazine
‘I don’t think he had a moment to himself, between being an incredibly hands-on father and going to and from the hospital— taking Malcolm to the park, putting him to nap, driving to Cedars-Sinai, hanging out with me, going home, putting Malcolm to bed, coming back to me. And he did it all happily.’
Mulaney was previously married to Anna Marie, before the pair split in May 2021 after the comedian completed a stint in rehab.
Anna Marie, who is an artist, said at the time: ‘I am heartbroken that John has decided to end our marriage. I wish him support and success as he continues his recovery.’
Mulaney spoke about his romance with Munn only four months after splitting from his first wife, saying during an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers: ‘I packed a lot into this… Is it September now?
‘I went to rehab in September, I got out in October, I moved out of my home from my ex-wife…
‘Then in the spring I went to Los Angeles and met and started to date a wonderful woman named Olivia.’
He continued: ‘I got into this relationship that’s been really beautiful with someone incredible who has dealt with the non-coked up Bambi version of me, and that’s been very incredible, and she’s kind of held by hand through that hell,’ he continued. ‘And we’re having a baby together. I was nervous when I was about to say the news!’
‘I’m going to be a dad. We’re really, really happy.’
