Coronation Street legend Peter Ash showed off a snap of him and his rarely seen partner d Amy.
The Paul Foreman actor, 39, was enjoying a friend’s wedding after Peter was seen enjoying the groom’s stag earlier this year.
The loved-up couple looked directly into the camera for the gram in which Peter could be seen rocking a shirt and tie while Amy looked beautiful in a red dress.
‘Me and my girl @amypabbyshambo,’ Pete captioned the post.
Corrie fans showed their love for the actor as well as commending him on his recent soap performance, with @wiiweaver replying: ‘Congratulations on a great performance and teaching the viewers more understanding of MND. All the best for a bright successful future.’
@ann2812 added: ‘Going to miss you and your gorgeous dimples Peter and your amazing acting just wish you wasn’t killed of so there was a chance you would come back all the best for your future.’
Paul was diagnosed with motor neurone disease last year, and in late 2023 was given the heart-breaking news that he only had six months left to live.
Over the past few months, his condition has been deteriorating, and he has now been told that it is no longer safe for him to use the stairlift in and out of the flat.
In a recent episode, viewers will get to see a day in the life from Paul’s perspective, as he and husband Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) spend the day together.
With Paul’s speech significantly deteriorated, viewers heard his innermost thoughts as a voiceover.
Unfortunately, Paul’s story is soon set to come to an end, with actor Daniel Brocklebank revealing to Metro.co.uk that Paul’s death is the next big thing to come.
‘Obviously, we’ve got Paul’s demise really,’ he said, of what’s still to come.
‘That will probably be the next large thing. We’ve got some really beautiful stuff coming out over the next few months.’
Recently, a number of pictures revealed the cast filming some funeral scenes, suggesting that Paul’s death will come within the next few weeks.
Actor Peter Ash, who has played Paul since 2018, already has another role lined up after Corrie, as he revealed on his Twitter/X account.
Following Paul’s demise, Peter is set to take on a completely different character as he joins the cast of Aladdin in Oldham this panto season.
Peter will be taking on the role of baddie Abanazar between December 12 2024 and January 4 2025.
