About Playa Limbo
Playa Limbo are a Latin pop group from Mexico whose style of music is influenced by pop/rock of the 1980s. The group recorded a demo in 2005 that got them some airplay on Mexican pop radio, in particular the song "El Eco de Tu Voz." Often compared to Belanova, a Mexican dance-pop group likewise fronted by a woman, Playa Limbo were subsequently offered a major-label recording contract with Sony BMG and proceeded to release their full-length debut album, Canciones de Hotel (2007). The album spawned a series of hits, most notably "10 Para las 10," "El Eco de Tu Voz," and "El Tiempo de Ti," and was re-released in 2008 with bonus material. ~ Jason Birchmeier
