Leadership in Sustainability Awards 2024 Leadership in Sustainability Design (Residential High Rise) - Platinum Award Park Regent submitted by BGreen Associates Sdn Bhd Being a GBI certified residential two-tower building, it preserved 82.9% of existing trees while having 55.1% of site dedicated to living walls, vertical greenery and water bodies. It is water efficient, has RWH and had a comprehensive waste management plan during construction. The construction utilizes aluminum formwork system for efficient construction, utilizes recycled content materials and locally manufactured sustainable timber products. Leadership in Sustainability Awards 2024 Leadership in Sustainability Design (Residential Low Rise) - Platinum Award Hydroponic House submitted by BGreen Associates Sdn Bhd The hydroponic house is a renovation project. It is categorized as the redevelopment of existing building, where it reduces the environmental impact on a new greenfield. Demolishment Alteration was kept to a minimum only 35% to reduce waste. Two new Pavilions were added to reframe the overall spatial composition/comprehension and to create new references to the characteristics. The ‘core’ of the project is the design of the hydroponic wall in one of the Pavilion, which has the following impact:- 1) It acts as screen/shading device the reduce the solar heat gain through the building envelop by 30%, thus reduce energy for cooling load, 2) It acts as buffer between the house and the external main road, to reduce dust and noise pollution, 3) Increase the ‘green’ ratio by 88m2 (950ft2), which reduce the heat island effect, 4) The mist irrigation to reduce the heat island effect and 5) Extra eatable plant can be harvested and disturb to community. Other passive and active green features include: - 6) Centre Courtyard, harvest daylight and promote cross ventilation. 7) Linear Skylights, harvest daylight. 8) External View, 100% of all Net Floor area. 9) Solar pre-heated Water Tank, reduce energy for heating 10) VRV AC system In addition to the above Energy Efficient features, the project also incorporated the following Renewable Energy:- 11) Solar PV, saving 32% of the building energy 12) Solar Hot Water system Other ‘Green’ feature includes: - 13) Rainwater harvesting system, 50% used for irrigation 14) Water Efficient Fittings, 45% reduction 15) Low VOC Material 16) Green / Recycle Material and Furniture 17) EV Charger, Elina Jani, Chief Jury

It targets the issue of roaming vagrants around Georgetown. Being a target GBI Platinum building, it drives SDG Goal 3 through architectural interventions and spaces focused on good health & well being. It preserves the existing tree on site, besides having outdoor landscape, green walls and pocket park. It promotes natural daylighting through the courtyard and also air ventilation for the dormitory.
