Care is one of our core values at VTTI. One of the ways that we show care to each other, those we work with, and our community is to do regular safety observation rounds at our terminals. During these rounds, which every employee is expected to do as part of their KPIs, we observe safety practices, ask questions, and try to learn from those working in the field what we can do to make our operations even safer. At VTTI, we firmly “believe in zero,” and we see safety as the collective responsibility of all of us, no matter what our role is in the company. In the photo below (left to right), Guy Moeyens, CEO of VTTI, Peter Wielaard, HESQ Manager, Amsterdam terminal and Jaap Koomen, SVP and Head of country for VTTI Netherlands meet up following their safety observation rounds at our terminal in Amsterdam. On August 1, 2024, our VTTI Bio-Energy Tilburg team injected the first green gas into the local gas grid! This is an important milestone in commissioning our state-of-the art biogas production facility. At VTTI Bio-Energy Tilburg, waste is turned into biogas by removing impurities and moisture, to transform it into high-quality biomethane that meets the stringent gas specification requirements set by the government. This purified gas is then blended into the local gas grid network of the Brabant province in the Netherlands. Congratulations to VTTI Bio-Energy Tilburg for this great achievement!

1 million truck loadings! 👏 🎉 A big congratulations goes to our team in Cape Canaveral, Florida this week for loading their 1,000,000 truck with product! That is enough fuel to fill every gas station in the United States one and a half times. 🚚 ⛽ 🚗 Our terminal in Cape Canaveral, Florida (USA), is the largest energy terminal in the state. It is able to load fuel trucks at the rate of 600 gallons per minute and can directly fuel vessels at the nearby cruise terminal. In addition to serving their customers well, the terminal team is active in local community initiatives and also makes efforts to use sustainable solar and wind power to energize the office facilities. The terminal has been operational since 2010. Pictured below is our terminal Managing Director, David Michael Smith, with members of the terminal team, handing over a certificate to the driver of the millionth truck.

Last week, our VTTI Amsterdam terminal had the privilege of hosting award-winning filmmaker Digna Sinke and her crew. They were here to capture footage for a documentary hybrid focusing on the energy transition in the port area of Amsterdam. The film-documentary is made possible through a collaborative effort by Tomtit Film, SNG film and Nederlands Filmfonds. This visit highlights VTTI’s dedication to sustainability in the energy storage and energy infrastructure sector. Asset integrity manager, Dirk Jan Kwakkel, was interviewed at the film set on behalf of VTTI. He shared: “Being potentially featured in a film-documentary for the first time was both a privilege and an honor. Working with Digna Sinke and her team was incredibly exciting. This week, VTTI Bio-energy Tilburg received its first deliveries of feedstock. With the help of bacteria, heat, technology and automation, our team will turn organic residues into biogas, producing enough green gas to heat the equivalent of 3.000 homes in the Netherlands, produce electricity and heat for the process itself, and produce organic fertilizer pellets, every day. John Horrevorts, the General Manager of VTTI Bio-energy Tilburg said: “Following an extended period of preparation, I am pleased to announce that VTTI Bio-energy Tilburg has started the filling of the digesters and will shortly begin supplying the first batch of green gas to the Tilburg gas grid. This marks a significant step towards a more sustainable and eco-friendly future!” #VTTI #Energytomovetomorrow #Tilburg
