I am the co-founder of Rhite, a consultancy and research firm based in The Netherlands specializing in Trustworthy AI that offers technical and legal expert guidance on AI Privacy and Security, AI Risk Management, Compliance and Governance.
As AI Advisor at Rhite, I help organisations in the public and private sector with the development and deployment of Trustworthy AI systems and with the performance of risk and impact assessments of internal and third party AI systems.
As Head of AI Research at Rhite, I lead different research projects based on the analysis of AI risk assessment frameworks, LLM red teaming benchmarks, context-based risk assessment frameworks, and AI and GenAI bias identification methodologies. I am a strong advocate of privacy and security by design, with a keen interest in fostering responsible & trustworthy AI and human-centered responsible innovation. I am also passionate about the protection of human rights, particularly about the protection of children (digital) rights.
During my career I have been involved in several high impact (AI) projects. One of the things that worries me the most is the varied number of things that can go wrong impacting adversely individuals and society. During the development process, we often don't take the time to reflect about these threats from a holistic perspective and we miss tools and expertise to help us identify them. That is why I started in 2019 researching about AI risks and threat modeling, which resulted in the publication in April 2022 of PLOT4AI (https://plot4.ai/), an open source tool to identify AI risk sources. PLOT4AI is a threat modeling methodology and a library containing more than 80 AI threats with recommended mitigations.

PLOT4ai, A Privacy Library of Threats for Artificial Intelligence
Publicatie weergevenOpen source library containing 86 AI threats with recommended mitigation measures. PLOT4ai is also a threat modeling methodology that helps you identify AI risks during the design life cycle of AI systems. It contains threats related to 8 different categories supporting a risk-based holistic approach.
The tool is available online and also as a physical card game. It is listed by the CNIL and the OECD as one of the recommended AI risks assessments tools for Trustworthy AI.
