💡 Having a space related business idea is the first step. You then need to ask: is the space connection sufficient to be selected for ESA’s business incubator? You can assess the space link using the new online form via: https://lnkd.in/efHzqEzG You know your entrepreneurial idea better than anyone – and it is up to you to explain the space connection of your company’s business model in your application to ESA BIC Noordwijk. In some cases, it can be pretty clear what the space link is. This is especially true for those entrepreneurs concentrating on upstream technologies. Representatives of the Young ESA Entrepreneurs working group were at SBIC this week. The visit had been arranged by Anton Liegert from ESA/ESTEC for the entrepreneurial-minded ESA professionals to hear about how ESA fosters startups as they establish new and innovative space-related businesses. 🚀 The audience heard from Mercedes Sánchez Álvarez about the #NewSpace economy and the ESA ambition on commercialisation. A key focus was on ESA's business incubator network across Europe (celebrating 20 years in 2024) that supports startups using space-oriented technology, or data derived from space assets, for products and services in both space and terrestrial markets. 🚀 Martijn Leinweber explained about the management of ESA BIC in the Netherlands, as well as the supporting programmes offered by SBIC Noordwijk. 🚀 ESA BIC incubatee #CeresSpace is working towards enabling mobility in space with hydrogen peroxide as a green fuel. The initial focus is on the technical development of propellant tanks and supporting architecture that will be suitable for long-term storage of hydrogen peroxide.
