About the Project
The North/West Battery Park City Resiliency Project (NWBPCR) is mapping an approach for protective measures along the northern and western portions of Battery Park City to reduce the risks associated with storm surge and sea level rise. The project is being developed through a progressive design-build process and includes a robust approach to community engagement to ensure public input is considered in project planning.
As part of the State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Act, the Battery Park City Authority (BPCA) has prepared a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS), which analyzes the potential environmental impacts of the proposed NWBPCR. In compliance with the SEQR Act, BPCA has made the North/West Battery Park City Resiliency Project DEIS available for public review and comment.
You may access the DEIS at https://bpca.ny.gov/nwbpcr_resiliency/environmental-review/.
