Multiple people fall onto subway tracks across NYC

Multiple people fell onto various subway tracks across New York City on Thursday, according to MTA officials.

The first incident was reported in Manhattan at the 96th Street station at around 2:47 p.m., officials said.

Video captured by another straphanger showed firefighters and EMTs tending to the person who fell.

“It did not look like he was alive. He was lying there with blood on his head,” said Jeanne Gari, the resident who filmed the scene. “He didn’t look like he was breathing and he wasn’t moving at all. He was unconscious.”

Despite his injuries, officials said the man survived.

The second fall came roughly two hours later at Jay Street, with the straphanger involved suffering a broken leg. A third person fell at the 20th Avenue station and got struck by a Manhattan-bound N train, officials said.
