Sending unsolicited dirty pictures over a cellphone could soon be a crime.
Two City Council members have proposed a bill that would punish “cyber-flashers” — strangers who air-drop unwanted images of their private parts to nearby smartphones — and anyone else who sends such disturbing photos.
Councilmembers Joe Borelli (R-SI) and Donovan Richards (D-Queens) said they want to outlaw the unsolicited sharing of penis pictures and other similar images, a practice The Post reported last year was becoming a trend.
The proposed bill would make attempts to annoy or harass someone by sharing unrequested intimate images a misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail, a $1,000 fine or both.
