Plant Ladies! Watch Joanna Gaines Garden with Her Daughters, Ella and Emmie Kay, on 'Fixer Upper'

The expecting mom and her girls share a sweet moment at the garden on their farm

Like mother, like daughters!

Joanna Gaines is a self-described #plantlady, and it looks like her daughters are following in her footsteps. On Tuesday night’s Fixer Upper the expecting mom tends to her backyard rose garden with some help from 11-year-old Ella and 7-year-old Emmie Kay.

“Gardens are a lot of work, but there’s just something about being in the garden that’s so refreshing,” she says in the exclusive clip above. “I love teaching the girls about what all goes into gardening, but I would say my favorite part about it is just getting to spend some time with them.”

While her youngest likes the “little bitty” buds the most, Ella prefers red blooms. It’s another family member, though, who likes to stop and smell the roses the most.

“You know who really loves the smell of a good rose? Dad,” Joanna tells her mini-mes.

The busy parents are stealing as many moments with their growing family — which also includes sons Drake, 12, and Duke, 9— as possible, and will be ending ending their HGTV series after the current fifth season to spend more time with their cute crew. And now that baby number five is on the way, the design duo’s hands are going to be even more full at their farmhouse in Waco, Texas.

“I could not be more EXCITED!” Chip said after announcing the news on Instagram in early January, adding “#7ThePerfectNumber.”

To see Joanna garden with her girls, watch the full clip above and tune into Fixer Upper, Tuesdays at 9:00 p.m. EST on HGTV.
