Josh Flagg is making a big move from one high profile brokerage to another.

The Million Dollar Listing: Los Angeles star and celebrity real estate agent announced this week that he left Douglas Elliman after just over two years, and is joining Compass.

“I am excited to begin this next chapter with Compass,” Flagg said in a statement shared with PEOPLE. “While I am grateful for my journey thus far, especially for my former colleagues who are like family, I am finally ready to embark on my next venture and I look forward to the great things we will accomplish together.”

Flagg came to work at Elliman’s California flagship office in Beverly Hills with MDLLA cast members Tracy Tutor and Josh Altman in December 2021, after spending 10 years as a luxury broker at Rodeo Realty. At the time, he told PEOPLE that his costars were "instrumental" in his decision to make the change.

With Tutor and Altman still working at Elliman, the trio are now at rival agencies. However, Flagg told The Hollywood Reporter that he doesn’t believe the switch will impact the show.

“We all have amazing relationships and do business together,” he said. “I don’t see this changing our dynamic in any way whatsoever.”

Flagg didn’t divulge details on the Bravo series’ upcoming 15th season, other than that it’s “coming out very shortly.”

A press release from Compass announcing Flagg’s new role notes that he brings “over $400 million in listings” to the company, including the former estate of Judy Garland and the most expensive home in Pasadena’s history. Some of Flagg’s most notable clients include influential families such as the Gettys and the Bloomingdales and late TV stars Suzanne Somers and Matthew Perry.

"We're excited to officially welcome Josh to Compass," Compass founder and CEO Robert Reffkin said in a statement. “With Josh's experience and forward-looking approach to his business, I am excited for what he will achieve at Compass.”

As for his own real estate, Flagg purchased a $9.2 million property in the Beverly Hills neighborhood known as the Flats after splitting from husband Bobby Boyd in 2022.

However, since a major renovation on the property delayed his moving in, Flagg took up residence in a luxurious six-bedroom, seven-bathroom home in Bel Air.

“It's got a tennis court, pool, two guest houses and is in a great location in lower East Gate, Bel Air," he told PEOPLE last June of the L.A. retreat.
