It seems prudent to include a link to the https://wikimediafoundation.org/wiki/MediaWiki_Pingback_Privacy_Statement in the MW installer on the step where the user can choose to send pingback data
Current messages don't include it, so it means going to mediawiki.org and then onto the policy page, which seems a step too deep to me
