I could reproduce in Chrome on a mobile device after switching to Desktop at the bottom, and then hiding the Inhalt sidebar. (Please always provide full and complete and clear steps to reproduce.)
I could not reproduce in Chromium on a desktop device, after toggling to the device toolbar to emulate 500px screen width.
I could not reproduce in Firefox on a mobile device.

Samwilson removed a project from T233809: Syntax highlight replaces spaces between template parameter and equal sign by non-breaking spaces: Community-Tech.

It seems possible that this bug will be resolved by the CodeMirror upgrade (T259059). There's also the chance that it's fixed in modern Chrome for Android (now on version 112).

matmarex closed T163539: Warn users when they edit that they are using an obsolete browser as Declined.

These days there are a lot fewer browsers that are served JavaScript by MediaWiki, but not supported by VisualEditor (in fact there might not be any). I don't think this is worth building any more.
