Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. I'd be happy to review some details about the
room types at this charming resort.
Royal Guest Rooms at Port Orleans Resort - Riverside feature wall-to-wall carpeted floors. All other rooms at this resort have laminate flooring instead of carpet. The Royal Guest Rooms are an excellent choice for Disney Princess fans as they are adorned with nods to some of our favorite leading ladies. Look for Tiana, Belle, and Jasmine-inspired decor throughout these unique rooms. The attention to detail is incredible, and my favorite fixture is the bathroom faucet shaped like the magic lamp from
Aladdin.
If you prefer a more neutral design, the standard rooms at this resort are lovely. They have elegant, dark laminate flooring and rural Louisiana-themed exteriors. If you have children like mine who prefer not sharing a bed on vacation, you can book a fifth sleeper room. In addition to two Queen-size beds, these rooms feature a pull-down child-size bed for tired tots and tweens. You'll find an adorable Louis the alligator from
The Princess and the Frog on the "headboard" of the pull-down bed. Don't worry, he's asleep, so he won't keep you awake all night playing his trumpet!
