[Presymptomatic diagnosis in genetics: the model of Huntington disease]

Abstract

Huntington's disease represents the most typical disorder concerning presymptomatic testing of late onset hereditary disorders. Predictive testing involves several ethical problems especially related to the severity of the disease and its absence of treatment. Other genetic disorders for instance hereditary breast cancer rise the same problems.
