Areas of Excessive Rainfall Today; Dangerous Heat Redeveloping Over the Southwest; Dry Thunderstorms in the Great Basin

Heavy to excessive rainfall may bring flooding today to parts of the southern Rockies, eastern Mid-Atlantic, and ArkLaTex regions. Dangerous heat will redevelop Friday through this weekend into next week over much of southern California and the Desert Southwest.
