🌍 Driving greener cities through AI-driven insights 🌱 The importance of greener cities is increasingly becoming a priority on cities' agendas. Today, we are presenting the report "Top Green Cities Sweden" for the first time, where urban green spaces and conditions for biodiversity in Sweden's 20 largest cities have been analyzed using satellite data and AI. 🌿 At the heart of this initiative is the Husqvarna Urban Green Space Index, HUGSI.green, an AI tool developed by Husqvarna Group, used globally to track and improve green spaces in cities. “Research is clear: A green urban environment is essential for both residents' well-being and the health of our planet. That’s why we’re committed to sharing insights on the development of green spaces to help build more sustainable cities,” says Erik Swan, Urban Green Space Specialist and Project Manager for HUGSI at Husqvarna Group. 💧 Revolutionizing water efficiency At Husqvarna Group, our dedication to managing and conserving water isn't just a recent endeavor—it’s a journey deeply rooted in our history and commitment to sustainability. In the 1960s in Israel, innovative agricultural techniques laid the groundwork for something transformative—a highly efficient method of drip irrigation. By 1985, Gardena GmbH, part of our Group, introduced this innovation to private gardeners with the Micro-Drip-System, a modular solution that has since evolved to include sensors and intelligent controls. Today, it remains the most efficient way to water plants, ensuring they thrive with minimal water usage. 💧Water-saving tips around your home   Wondering how you can contribute to water conservation?     🌱 Turn off the tap while washing your hands and brushing your teeth.   🌱 Use the appropriate button for a more economical toilet flush.   🌱 Wash fruits and vegetables in a bowl of water instead of under a running tap.   🌱 The water from washing can be reused to water plants in your garden.   🌱 Wait until washing machines and dishwashers are full before turning them on.   🌱 Install a flow restrictor in your shower.   🌱 Consider alternative water sources for gardening. Domestic water systems can distribute water from a water butt, well, or tank to your house and garden.     Small actions like these can have a huge impact on preserving this vital resource. Let's make every drop count!     #waterscarcity #sustainability #innovation #smartwaterig #water #watering

💧Water-saving tips in your garden   Want to know how you can contribute to water conservation?     🌱 Rainwater is softer than tap water, making it a better choice for plants.   It can be collected in a container at the bottom of a downpipe as a free source of water.     🌱 Water plants in the morning for optimal results.   The soil is cooler in the morning, allowing plants to absorb water more efficiently.     🌱 Leftover water from various sources can be used for plants.   Dregs of mineral water in a bottle, unsalted water after cooking, and water in the bottom of the kettle are examples.     🌱 Group plants based on their water and light requirements to save time and money.     🌱 Planting trees has multiple benefits.   Small actions like these can have a huge impact on preserving this vital resource. Let's make every drop count!    #waterscarcity #sustainability #Innovation #smartwaterig #water #watering
