Pham’s journey is a perfect example of how a career at NS BlueScope delivers growth and impact – both for him as a working professional and the wider community. Pham has held various roles in the supply chain function and has seen the progress made in NS BlueScope Vietnam in his almost two decades career with the business. Pham oversees our Responsible Sourcing Program, working with suppliers to ensure their operations fit with the BlueScope Supplier Code of Conduct. But it’s not just about work, Pham’s also dedicated to supporting local communities, for example helping in a tree planting and donation event in Long Hai Town which also saw suppliers, contractors and local authorities come together to deliver positive change for the local community. We’re continuing our mission to create and inspire smart solutions in steel while investing in lower-emission energy solutions. In 2024, NS BlueScope Thailand completed the installation of a 2MWp solar rooftop at the Map Ta Phut site. This initiative, along with plans for a ground solar project to be commissioned by 2026, underscores our commitment to renewable energy solutions. Additionally in May 2024, we engaged an alternative electricity supplier utilising a lower grid emission factor which aims to commence by 2026 when our plant's infrastructural upgrades are completed. These efforts allow us to enhance the reliability and stability of our power supply, as well as lowering our carbon emissions.
