Here's how you can navigate negative feedback during an interview process.
Negative interview feedback can be tough, but handle it with grace and professionalism. Stay calm, listen attentively, and thank the interviewer for their insights. Reflect on any gaps in your skills or experience and use the feedback to improve. Maintain a positive attitude; every interview is a learning opportunity. Address issues proactively and remember that you may cross paths with the interviewer again. By handling criticism well and using it to grow, you leave a positive lasting impression.

What do you do if your interviewee becomes defensive when receiving feedback?
When the interviewee reacts defensively, stay calm. Understand they may be seeking closure. Focus on how they can improve. If they react, pause, listen, and understand their perspective, offer support and assurance. Feedback is to help them grow. Consider the "sandwich method" for feedback. It's about fostering growth and improvement, not discouragement. Empathy and active listening are key.

Simply defining a role does not provide explicit details of the tasks involved. Effective communication and clear objective setting related to the role can enable an individual to understand their goals for the first 30, 60, and 90 days, as well as their involvement in specific projects. In addition, one must consider the skills the individual brings to the role. Ask if they are prepared for the responsibilities, and if not, ensure they have access to the necessary resources for support in their role.

How can you screen resumes for niche industries?
Research about the role, talk to the hiring manager if there is a desirable skill required. Talk to Industry network or attend conferences or events that could help you to widen your knowledge in this area. With AI, you may use ChatGPT using prompts to create a keyword or Boolean string search to identify the right candidate based on your research and inbuild to your screening process.
