    Project Diya IV is the fourth installment of Project Diya, an overseas community service involvement programme to Sikkim, India. The project will comprise of an overseas and local component. The Project comprises of 21 dedicated members. The project aims to engage to engage Sikkim’s youth community through educational, infrastructural and cultural activities. Activities would include:
    a) Refurbishment of school facilities, to create a better environment for learning;
    b) Engaging the school children through sports, arts and musical activities; and
    c) Promoting cultural exchange and awareness, through food exchanges and sing-and-dance performances.

    For Project Diya IV, Kok Thong was chosen to be the Programmes Director. His task was to oversee, develop and carry out all the programmes the group would be conducting for the entire trip. This was achieved through close collaboration with SMU's community service office C4SR, the Project's heads - Lin Zongxing and Wong Joon Wee, along with all other members of the Executive Committee.

    Kok Thong was also tasked with planning and carrying out the group's pre-expedition and post-expedition local community service programmes. This involved collaborating with The Salvation Army and the Law Society of Singapore.

    To Kok Thong, having to plan for many activities, carry them out and manage contingency plans was the highlight of being a Programmes Director. Together with his Programmes team, they had to brainstorm ideas for the programmes and come up with the suitable material required to carry out their plans in Sikkim. The entire project required many months of planning, brainstorming and discussion. At the end of the day, it was discipline and determination to ensure that this community service trip would be a success that helped Kok Thong fulfill the responsibilities of Programmes Director and meet the aims of the Project.
