What do you do if a candidate's values and culture don't align with your company?
This question ultimately depends on at which stage has the divergence of values been identified and at what level is the role? If this is at interview stage, and for a very junior position, then provided the person has displayed a strong technical fit and is able to complete the tasks needed, then it is not a huge impact. For senior hires however this can have significant impact on the team so it may be worth considering alternate candidates. If it is once a person is already in the company, then this is an opportunity for management to help understand how their values and norms can be an asset or how they can incorporate them, but if they are ultimately disruptive, then performance management conversations may need to occur
