2015 Celebrity Softball Game: When the Reds hosted Snoop Dogg, Miles Teller and more

The 2015 All-Star Game brought national attention to Cincinnati and the hometown team did not disappoint.

From Todd Frazier winning the Home Run Derby to the number of people watching the game in person and on television, the event was a major positive for Cincinnati.

In addition to the All-Star Game and Home Run Derby, other festivities come with the Midsummer Classic, among them the All-Star Legends and Celebrity Softball Game.

The 2015 version featured former Reds such as Eric Davis, Sean Casey and Paul O'Neill, as well as Snoop Dogg, Rob Riggle, Miles Teller and Josh Hutcherson.

This year's version of the Celebrity Softball Game will be July 13 and hosted by the Texas Rangers.

Snoop Dogg steals the show at Great American Ball Park

Before the game, the rapper was the big topic of conversation among the other participants. Highlights of what some of them told MLB.com:

Jennie Finch: "My teammate is Snoop Dogg -- how random is that, and how amazing is that? I'm excited to take the field with Snoop. … I mean that has to top everything, right? I can't wait."

Andre Dawson: "I told him, 'Hey, you are athletic. I expect big things out of you.'"

Miles Teller: "I think Snoop is going to enjoy himself no matter what happens."

The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback got some noticeable boos during introductions and his first at-bat.

The Pro Bowler took it in stride, telling The Enquirer at the time: "I'm not worried about it. Everybody has got an opinion. It doesn't really matter. It comes with it. Everybody has their opinion here. There's a lot of support and that's all that matters."

Dalton got the last laugh, though, hitting two home runs in the game.

Reds fan Josh Hutcherson got his chance to play at Great American Ball Park

Actor Josh Hutcherson, a Union, Kentucky native and noted Reds fan got his chance to play for his home team.

"Being here in the home town it's really cool and we are playing with legends and Hall of Famers and Snoop Dogg, it's just like where am I? I don't believe it's real," Hutcherson told Enquirer media partner Fox19 at the time.
