Package Tracking in Chrome

You can now automatically detect tracking numbers on a site with Chrome.

Package Tracking only supports:

  • iPhone and iPad
  • Users based in the US
  • Major carriers, like Fedex and USPS

Track your packages

You can track your packages with auto-detection or through manual input.

With auto-detection
  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open Chrome Chrome.
  2. Go to a site with a package to track.
  3. Select the type of Package Tracking permission you want to give:
    • Always Track Detected Packages: Your device automatically tracks all the packages that are detected in the future and shows a confirmation message every time.
    • Ask Me Every Time: Your device asks you if you want to track your package every time a new tracking number is automatically detected.
    • No, Thanks: Chrome won’t track your packages for you.

Tip: If multiple packages are detected at the same time, the pop-up message displays the number of packages detected. To track, in the message banner, tap Track.

Through manual input

You can track packages through manual input if:

  • You don’t want Chrome to automatically track your package.
  • You got the tracking number outside of Chrome.

If you don’t give Chrome permission to automatically track your packages, to share data for manual input separately, Chrome asks for your permission. If you select "No, Thanks," it means you decline Chrome’s data sharing policy and Chrome can’t track your packages for you.

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open Chrome Chrome.
  2. Go to the site with your tracking number.
  3. Tap and hold the tracking number.
