If you change your router’s settings, Wi-Fi name or password, or install a new router, you need to update the Wi-Fi information on your Google Nest Protect.
Tip: If you give your new home network the same network name (SSID) and password as the previous one, your Nest products will automatically reconnect.
-
On the Nest app home screen, tap Settings .
-
Select your Protect.
-
Go to Device options Wi-Fi connection.
-
Tap Next. Nest will attempt to connect to your Protect, and it will start looking for nearby Wi-Fi networks.
-
Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password. Your Protect should automatically reconnect. If it doesn't reconnect, go to Troubleshoot when Nest Protect disconnects or is offline.
