Red light cameras take a picture when a car drives through a red light. These cameras monitor one or more approaches to the intersection and can sometimes also detect speeding violations. As you approach a red light camera, you'll get an alert on the map and a voice alert.
Using Waze in your car? Manage alerts on your phone. The changes will apply when you use Waze in your car. If you're using Android Auto or CarPlay, make sure to disconnect your phone first.
Turn off red light camera alerts
- Open Waze
- Tippen Sie auf
- Tap Settings
- Tap Alerts and reports
- Tap Reports. A list of all report types appears.
- Tap Red light cameras
- Turn off:
- Show on map - When turned on, you'll see alerts on the map
- Alert while driving - When turned on, you'll get a voice alert and an alert will pop up on your screen
