Get driving instructions in your own voice.
Using Waze in your car? Record voice directions on your phone. Select the voice on your phone, and it'll play in your car. If you're using Android Auto or CarPlay, make sure to disconnect your phone first.
- Open Waze
- Tippen Sie auf
- Tap Settings
- Tap Voice and sound
- Tap Waze voice
- Tap Add a voice
- Tap OK
- Tap the phrase you want to record
- Tippen Sie auf
to start recording and
to stop
- Tippen Sie auf
to play your recording back
- Tap Save
- Tap Done in the top-right corner
- Enter a name for your voice
- Tap Add
to start recording and 
to stop
to play your recording backShare your voice recording
Send your voice recording to friends and they'll hear your recorded directions while navigating with Waze.
- Open Waze

- Tap Voice and sound
- Tap Waze voice
- Tippen Sie auf
- Tap Share
- Select your preferred app and the person you'd like to share the voice with
Delete your voice recording
- Open Waze
- Tippen Sie auf
- Tap Settings
- Tap Voice and sound
- Tap Waze voice
- Select the voice recording you'd like to delete and tap
- Scroll down and tap Delete voice
- Tap Delete
