Setting Up a 301 Redirect from One Domain to Another

Important:
To use this feature, you need to upgrade your site and connect a domain.
A 301 redirect is a permanent redirect from one URL to another. While they can redirect site page URLs, they can also redirect from one domain to another. For example, if your site previously used the domain "old-domain.com", and your new site at Wix uses the domain "mystunningwebsite.com", a 301 redirect will bring visitors to your new site, even if they type or click your old domain.
301 Redirects also allow you to keep your site's SEO rankings when migrating your site over to Wix.

To set up a 301 redirect from one domain to another:

  1. Set up 301 redirects for the relevant pages on your new site.
Note: If you have already set up redirects for your site's pages, skip this step.

It is not possible to set up a 301 redirect from a free Wix URL to a premium site.
