What is the Industry Traceback Group?

Since its establishment in 2015 by USTelecom | The Broadband Association, the Industry Traceback Group (ITG) has played a central and ever-growing role in the battle against illegal calls, including illegal robocalls.

Each day, companies from across the wireline, wireless, VoIP, and cable industries collaborate to trace, source, and ultimately, stop illegal calls. The illegal call campaigns targeted by the ITG range from robocall scams preying on COVID-19 related fears, to government and brand impersonations, to telephony denial of service (TDoS) attacks on hospitals and public safety phone lines.
