These concepts are not just about providing a place to sleep, but about crafting unique experiences that cater to an increasingly diverse range of preferences and lifestyles. Through intelligent design and attention to detail, it is becoming increasingly invaluable that the art collection communicates a hotel brand's values and reinforces the overall vision. Convene offers premium, flexible workspaces featuring top-tier amenities and award-winning design, helping today's most innovative companies attract and retain top talent. In addition to over 20 original artworks, our team procured and curated over 100 accessories across two floors, including small artist prints, playful sculptures, and a curated selection of books. Honouring the project's emphasis on blending contemporary London with the Elizabethan era, we incorporated books that reflect this narrative, ranging from modern architecture and design to antique volumes. Curating art and accessories together creates a cohesive atmosphere that enhances aesthetic appeal while fostering a sense of connection and continuity, making the workspace dynamic and engaging for both employees and visitors. We're thrilled to announce the upcoming exhibition 𝘍𝘪𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘦𝘯 by Artiq at Soho Revue ✨ Founded in 2009 with the then-unorthodox idea of paying artists a regular income for exhibiting their work, Artiq’s remarkable journey years has surpassed all expectations. Working with some of the world's most impactful brands, their tireless commitment to fair pay for creative work has changed the narrative around artist compensation in the creative sector and has attracted a global network of thousands of talented artists and makers. Over the past 15 years, it has grown into one of the most prominent businesses in its field, driving momentum in the cultural economy, and creating lasting impact with culture. 𝘍𝘪𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘦𝘯 brings together 15 contemporary artists who have been part of Artiq's journey, showcasing the remarkable talent Artiq—and its partners—have nurtured over the past 15 years. Some have been part of Artiq's artist network from the start, while others have joined more recently. Celebrating this milestone, Artiq is joining forces with Soho Revue. With a strong commitment to helping early-career artists, Soho Revue's residency scheme and fast-growing programme of events is bringing emerging talent back into the centre of London. Just like Artiq, the gallery embraces a transparent approach to working with artists and aims to maintain a nurturing relationship with those it exhibits. The exhibited artworks are for sale, with 10% of the proceeds directly benefiting the Renaissance Foundation a London-based youth charity providing essential support to young carers and patients, empowering them to reach their full potential and pursue their dream careers. We have always found it curious that artists are rarely paid to show their work. You wouldn’t expect your hairdresser, taxi driver or legal advisor to work for just exposure. Through partnerships with global brands, we have paid over £5m to artists and makers in the last 3 years alone, proving the viability of creative work and making the arts a more economically viable career for artists. EQT Group is a purpose-driven global investment organisation whose art strategy reflects its commitment to supporting local talent and sustainability. Based on EQT's core values, we curated a bespoke collection comprising a mix of leased and purchased works as well as an artist residency, presenting London's most exciting emerging artists with diverse practices rooted in environmentalism, materiality, identity, and digital innovation. EQT's residency programme allows selected artists to create new commissions that reflect their values, strengthen their office culture and empower the EQT brand. Aisha Seriki is the artist selected for the second residency in the EQT Exhibition Plaza, which will be on show throughout 2024 and into 2025. Aisha's practice explores the history of photography and its relationships with truth, time and the black body. Alongside her photographic practice, Aisha created a series of bronze 'ìyarun' sculptures that are informed by the comb's relationship with African diasporan histories. Through these works, the comb surpasses functionality and becomes a cultural symbol of empowerment, ritual and self-care. In May 2024, Aisha won the Victoria and Albert Museum Parasol Foundation Prize for Women in Photography, and selected works from this series were exhibited at the 8th edition of the contemporary photography festival Peckham 24.
