Women in Engineering Day – 23rd June 2024 Yesterday, Briar Chemicals celebrated the amazing work that women engineers are doing to support lives and livelihoods every day. We invited young women studying STEM related subjects at Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form to visit Briar Chemicals for a careers discussion and site tour. Five inspirational women from our Engineering and Technical teams shared their career journeys which echoed how vital it is to continue to encourage more young women and girls into engineering STEM related careers. The students had the opportunity to ask our Women in Engineering (and Science) about their pathways, experiences and future career plans. Thank you to all the inspirational Women in Engineering and STEM related careers, especially those that work here at Briar Chemicals, together we are helping to build towards a brighter future! #enhancedbyengneering #INWED24

Despite our walk being postponed last week due to the weather, we were finally able to get out for our #EmpowerHalfHour walk in support of Mental Health Awareness Week. We also held a Time to Talk event giving employees the opportunity to normalise conversations around mental health.
