    Is it challenging to find a qualified AML/CTF/KYC employee at an affordable cost? It's amazing that so many AML/CFT/KYC professionals struggle to find a job. It's also amazing that companies claim they struggle to find good and qualified employees in AML/CFT/KYC. In a recent discussion I had with James Govey from Capitex here are some tips and innovative initiatives for both hiring manager and job seekers: 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗲 𝗛𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀/𝗛𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀: ↳ 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗔𝗠𝗟 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: Consider candidates with transferable skills from adjacent fields like fraud analysis, credit risk management, or forensic accounting. ↳ 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: Focus on finding individuals who demonstrate a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a good grasp of core skills like data analysis and attention to detail. ↳ I𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀: Develop internal training programs to equip new hires with the specific knowledge and skills needed for your AML processes. ↳ 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀: In your job descriptions, emphasize the chance to learn and grow within a dynamic and ever-evolving field.     Looking for our community to get involved in being a part of our mission, rest assured, good things will come to those who give back and help us with this 😉 Over the last few weeks, we have been trying to create more awareness of the internship program we have with the ICA to help both entry-level professionals get their foot in the door in Financial Crime & Compliance so they can gain real-life work experience. This has been great for companies who need 0-cost solution and an extra pair of hands to support them with financial crime compliance-related tasks. Over the last 3 weeks, we have secured around 11 companies that love the initiative and like the idea of giving back to help the next generation of FCC professionals while also seeing the value of implementing this as a program to streamline their hiring process and test for future hires. We want to take this into the 100s and then into the 1000s to change the face of how people get into the sector.     Non-Urgent But Good For You To Know! We recently formed an official partnership with the International Compliance Association to roll out a program called "Recruit, Train and Deploy" which does exactly that! Candidates are being Recruited by Capitex, Trained & Certified by the International Compliance Association & Deployed to clients free of charge! Our mission with this is to help entry-level FCC professionals gain real-life work experience so they can get into the market, build their credibility and enhance their career in the sector, our clients benefit from getting an extra pair of hands by utilizing free ICA-certified staffing recourses, and we get to monitor their performance that helps us build a solid track record with more junior staff coming through for future paid assignments. This is a natural funnel for us at Capitex to expand our bench of trusted Financial Crime Compliance associates.
