🔓| Next level unlocked!   Edinburgh Airport has become the first in Scotland to achieve a global carbon accreditation as it continues to build on its Greater Good sustainability strategy.   The airport is now Level 4 Transformation in the Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) scheme - one of the highest levels in the global carbon management certification programme for airports.   This follows extensive engagement and partnerships with stakeholders, airlines and campus partners; work to map the emissions existing within the airport’s supply chain; and the publication of a new Net Zero strategy.   Edinburgh Airport is now part of VINCI Airports’ network, all of its +70 airports are part of this program, and its ambition is to reach net zero emission for its European and UK airports by 2030. ✈ | We're rolling out new flight information display screens to make things easier for passengers at the airport. These screens will display more information, including potential for language translations and destination weather, and will be easier to read. They are positioned in prominent locations with large new screens around the entrance and exit to World Duty Free, along with improvements in the check-in hall and across the departure lounge. 🔌| Making positive changes to our airfield vehicles. Two new EVs have joined our fleet of operations vehicles - with more planned - as we reduce emissions as part of our Greater Good sustainability strategy. This sustainability improvement is one of several improvements being rolled out across the airport this summer. It comes after two new electric coaches were introduced to our airfield, adding to the two brought in last year. 🛫 | It's been a busy first few days as an official VINCI Airports.    We welcomed Nicolas Notebaert and the Executive team to Edinburgh following final confirmation of the firm's acquisition of Edinburgh Airport.   They spent time with teams across the airport to explain VINCI's story and vision and where Edinburgh fits in to that, while also talking about the growth and operation at Edinburgh - it's been a great start to our VINCI future.    It's also been important to discuss these future plans with our people and the media - a lot to do in just two days!   By bringing together the knowledge and expertise of both VINCI Airports and Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), two of the world’s most respected airport investors and operators, it's a significant vote of confidence in Scotland, and the future of its capital city airport. #edinburgh #edinburghairport #scotland #vinciairports #vinciconcessions #GIP #aviation #connectivity #airports
