Our pleasure, The Care Workers' Charity! A huge thank you to our colleagues who took part! 🩵
🥾 Lifeways Trek for The CWC 🎉 The CWC send a massive thank you to a team from Lifeways Group who took on the Three Peaks to raise money for us. Gemma Munjic, Registered Manager at Lifeways Group says: "What a day - Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge 2024 ✅ What a fabulous bunch of people to watch achieve their own individual goals and coming together as one team to raise money for The Care Workers' Charity. We have raised over £1500 and had such a wonderful day together working as a team, communicating (when there was signal) and genuinely enjoying spending time with each other. I enjoyed being ground support for the second year running ❤️ Proud of you all." James Denison, Regional Director at Lifeways Group says: "The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge was an amazing opportunity for colleagues from across the business to come together and push themselves out of their comfort zone in order to raise funds for the amazing Care Workers Charity. From leaving our vehicles at 6.15am until heading for home locations at 8pm the group bonded and persevered together as a team. As someone who hasn't walked long distances for a number of years, it was great to 'stretch my legs' and enjoy the views! While only a small number completed all three of the peaks, every member of the team achieved a personal goal and I'm proud of us all!" The team raised an incredible £1,610 which was then matched by Lifeways Group. We cannot thank the team enough for their support. 'Nothing about me, without me' is one of our mantras that drives support at Lifeways. This is evidenced by our team of 200 Quality Checkers – people we support who closely examine the care they and others receive in their own homes. “I am very happy to be a Quality Checker,” says John, a Quality Checker in #Liverpool. “I like the independence it gives me. I really like the role, and I enjoy it a lot.” Read more 👇 #ProudToSupport #Quality

Andrew, who is supported at home by his support worker Connor at our #Sunderland supported living service, enjoys helping to log his support on our Nourish Care electronic care management system. “I use it to provide feedback on… basic trends in my mood,” Andrew says. “It’s better than paper [care records] because I can get my point of view across more quickly,” he adds. We’re still rolling out Nourish across our 1,500 locations – here’s to ever-better support! #ProudToSupport
