🎉 We Made It to Paris! (virtually)🎉 Cue the confetti and break out the champagne—we’ve officially made it to Paris and back! After 2 weeks of walking, running, cycling, and rowing, our amazing Meallmore team has covered a whopping 2,170 km, and we’ve finally crossed the virtual finish line. This journey has been about so much more than just the kilometers. It’s been about coming together, pushing our limits, and having a laugh (or two) along the way. We’ve shared countless steps, some blisters (ouch), and a whole lot of team spirit. And let’s be honest—who knew we had so many hidden athletes among us? From sunrise walks to evening jogs, we’ve done it all. And the best part? We’ve done it together. Each and every one of you played a part in getting us to Paris, and we couldn’t be prouder. So, what’s next? A well-deserved rest, a big celebration, and maybe, just maybe, planning our next adventure. But for now, let’s savour this moment and give ourselves a big round of applause. The Meals Mean More competition is back on 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟰𝘁𝗵 at City of Glasgow College! 🍽️ Some of our top chefs—Anna Koziarska, Dan McGonigle, paul o'brien, Eilidh Mason, and Robert Scott— have been named as this year's finalists and are gearing up to showcase their skills. We’ve even secured an all-star judging panel, including Scott Scorer, Mary Preston, Hazel O'Rourke, and Eddie Easdon. As well as a guest resident judge from one of our Meallmore homes. Our Meallmore Office/Support Team has taken on the challenge of walking the distance of Inverness to Paris and back, and we’re absolutely smashing it! 🚶♂️🌟 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀! 🌟🚶♀️ Our Head Office team is on an incredible journey, running, walking, jogging, rowing and cycling, the equivalent of Inverness to Paris! With 28 participants already covering an impressive 140km in just 24 hours, we’re truly walking the walk 🚶♀️ We've been out walking in the countryside, on a run with the dog (check out Fred by swiping below), rowing in front of the telly and picking raspberries with the kids...and we're only a day in! As part of the 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗢𝗹𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗰𝘀, our colleagues and residents across all our homes are joining in the fun, participating in their own activities to celebrate this exciting event. From paper plane throwing to adventure golf, the spirit of the Meallmore Olympics is alive and kicking! Physical exercise, getting outside, or simply moving around is vital for stimulating good mental health.
