On Saturday, July 27, the streets of Nottingham came alive with vibrant colours and energy as thousands of people, including many of our very own Lithia UK colleagues, gathered to take part in this year’s Nottingham Pride march 🎉 As proud sponsors of the event, colleagues from near and far, including members of the Pride network, united with many other local and national businesses to support the LGBTQ+ community and celebrate inclusivity. The weather was perfect! No rain, just the warm sunshine, accompanied by the rhythmic beats, created a sea of colourful joy and an atmosphere of fun. This marked Lithia UK’s second Pride event of the year, following our participation in Birmingham Pride. Pride events are always joyful! The Automotive Woman who inspires me is Sian Hall because she uses her role to promote the company as an employer of choice for women and other underrepresented groups, she ensures that the right questions are asked to help support and challenge peers and senior roles to reflect on inclusion. Sian is an active mentor and coach to others more broadly as it’s part of her great approach to enabling others to grow, but she is especially cognisant of looking out for other women across the business, especially those early in their careers to offer guidance to help them meet their career ambitions. ''The Automotive Woman who inspires me is Paige Stacey because she serves as a role model for other women, and actively coaches and mentors fellow women to help them grow their own careers. She actively promotes and champions the industry and encourages more women to get involved. Paige is recognised by her team and colleagues in the dealership as someone that really inspires them. She serves as a very real role model to every woman in our organisation. A mother of 3 young children, and whilst in the business undertaken two periods of maternity leave, Paige has shown us all just what is possible when you channel with determination your positivity, commitment, enthusiasm and skills in this industry there is so much you can achieve. Paige actively promotes the business via social media, especially LinkedIn and further acts as a mentor for aspiring women in our business, providing advice, support and feedback to help their personal growth and professional development. In addition, Paige is undertaking a Psychology degree in her own time. She offers her support and assistance and many colleagues have benefited from her generosity in providing insightful and pro-active feedback to support colleagues’ personal growth. On the business front, Paige is currently covering for the New Car Manager, and has driven significant improvement in this team, achieving upper quartile performance in the manufacturer's national league standings, whilst also being the face of the new smart operation and pushing forward enhancements in our enquiry management processes.
