️❗️Starting in September, the major card schemes will transition to 3DS 2.2 as the standard authentication method, phasing out support for 3DS 2.1 ️❗️  ️  📅 Here are the cut-off dates for each network: 🔸 Mastercard: September 24th, 2024 🔸 Visa, Discover: September 25th, 2024 🔸 American Express: October 1st, 2024 🔎 After these dates, merchants may see a small number of declined transactions if their customers' issuing bank still needs to update its 3DS flow. This situation is beyond a merchant's control and must be resolved by the cardholder's bank. However, the chance of disruption is low, given that we observe the use of 3DS 2.1 steadily declining, dropping from 4.6% in January to 0.48% so far this month. This trend indicates that the transition to 3DS 2.2 is progressing smoothly. With 3DS 2.2, merchants and their customers can expect to see: 🔸 Improved user experience: 3DS 2.2 offers a smoother and more seamless authentication process, reducing checkout friction and increasing conversion rates ✨ 🔸 Better device compatibility: With enhanced support for various devices and platforms, 3DS 2.2 ensures consistent experiences across smartphones, tablets, and desktops 📱💻 🔸 Additional data elements: The newer version of 3DS provides more data points, allowing issuers to make more accurate risk assessments, leading to fewer false declines and improved security. 🔒 🔸 Support for new payment methods: 3DS 2.2 supports more payment methods, keeping pace with the evolving payment landscape. 💳 🚀 If you're using Primer, we employ 3DS 2.2 whenever possible, reverting to 3DS 2.1 only when necessary due to issuing bank limitations. When the changeover occurs, merchants won't need to take any action. Our system will seamlessly adopt 3DS 2.2 across all processors, ensuring a hassle-free experience for our clients. Primer 🤝 Payplug    What do payments have in common with fencing, cycling, swimming, and canoe slalom? Like the teamwork seen in Olympic events, Primer and Payplug are partnering to allow more businesses to go for gold when accepting payments in France. As a principal member of Cartes Bancaires, a major card scheme accounting for 85% of the card payments in France 🤯 it is no surprise that our European merchants are looking to integrate Payplug to accept payments in this market. With just a few clicks, merchants using our Unified Payments Infrastructure can accept payments through Payplug. "We partner with the best payment services that offer both global and local coverage for our merchants," says Kevin Lee, Global Partnerships Lead at Primer. "Payplug is a European market leader and hugely collaborative in supporting our major retail customers in offering payments in key markets." Giuseppe Serra, Head of International Partnerships at Payplug, adds, "We're very excited to work with Primer. This partnership opens up a lot of conversations for both companies as we look to work together on a number of opportunities in the coming months." Félix BERNARD Kailash Madan Pedro C. In late 2023, Dabble achieved a significant milestone in entering the US market 🇺🇸. What sets Dabble apart is not just its success—climbing to an impressive fourth place in the US App Store's sports betting and daily fantasy category in just six weeks—but also the speed at which it went live in the US ⚡️. Entering the US required Dabble to rethink its entire payment strategy—it couldn't simply lift and shift what it was doing in Australia. This included harnessing the capabilities of new payment service providers, using a new processing currency, and ensuring it met local regulatory requirements. For those familiar with the complexities of getting payments ready to launch into a new market, you'll know this is commonly a daunting, months-long project 🤯 With Primer, however, the process was seamless 🔥. As Anthony Cugnetto, Head of Product—Payments, Fraud, and KYC at Dabble, explains, "Without Primer, we wouldn't have launched in the US until mid-2024 at the earliest. It allowed us to quickly integrate with the new processors we selected and build new workflows aligned with our US processing strategy." Curious about how Primer is unlocking Dabble's payment potential? Check out the case study. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/e7WJtTSH Sameer Talwar Prerna Kishore Pei Ling Tay Kevin Lee Kailash Madan Danilo D.
