As an increasing proportion of CFOs see credit as more attractive and readily available, many are preparing to increase their capital expenditure and ready their businesses for growth. Despite these optimistic indicators, the persistent skills gap poses a considerable challenge for businesses. This enduring talent shortage is reflected in escalating salaries for new recruits as reported in The KPMG/Recruitment & Employment Confederation jobs report for June and is likely to intensify as economic growth gains momentum. Deloitte’s latest CFO survey for Q2 is incredibly encouraging.
