🗣️ Interviewer: "So, why do you want to work here?" Don't get caught out with this classic interview question... here's how to structure your answer⬇️ 1. Express your personal passion/interest in the employer’s product/service/values. ↳ Employers want to know that you’ve researched their company and what they do. It’s always good to start by conveying your enthusiasm in what they do and how it relates to you and why you’re passionate about it. 2. Explain why you would enjoy the specific role you’re applying for and all the responsibilities that come with it ↳ Making the connection between the job/role and your passions clear is super important. It shows a genuine side to you and that you can see yourself being a good fit for the company and role. 3. Talk about the future ↳ It’s important for the interviewer to envision what you can achieve in the future. It’s more than just a hire, it’s an investment – and they need confidence in your ability to succeed and grow in your role. If you find yourself still looking for a university place after exam results come out on Thursday, don’t panic✋ You can land yourself a spot through clearing! 📝 Clearing is how universities fill any places they have left on their courses. You can use clearing if you: - didn't meet the conditions of your offers - declined your firm place offer - applied after 30th June - didn’t get any offers that you wanted to accept 🌟 Here’s a quick step-by-step guide to help: 1. Pre-results day, have a backup plan ready. Make a shortlist of unis and courses that you’d planned to study with slightly lower grade requirements than you’ve been predicted. Look on the UCAS website and use its search tool to find courses and unis. 2. Get advice from your school and/or universities. Unis can also talk you through various options to help you decide what’s right for you. 3. Contact the uni or college you want to apply to through clearing and give them your clearing number and personal ID. 4. Once you have permission from a university or college, add your clearing choice to your application and wait for a confirmation you’ve been accepted. If the one you’ve chosen doesn’t accept you, you can add another after. You’ll need to get on it swiftly🏃 Clearing for 2024 is open now and closes on 21st October – no doubt spots will be filling up quickly so be proactive to get to a uni and course that’s right for you! Good luck🩷
