What to expect from Legal Ops Career in 2024 It's been five months now since we launched Legal Ops Career, our offshoot devoted to careers-related content, community and jobs. We started with some big dreams about what it could be used for and we've had to break it down into smaller more manageable chunks to get there. We've changed things here and there, adapted to feedback and generally acted like a bit of a start up going to market. When legal tech goes wrong.. 💯 If legal tech vendor marketing is anything to go by then there is a 100% chance of implementation success 100% of the time. The reality is quite different though - as legal tech implementation is capable of suffering the same issues as any tech implementation.. and it certainly does. 💣 From lack of adoption, mis-match of requirements, technical issues, stakeholder conflict, poor consultancy, lack of service post go-live, unable to maintain or be self-sufficient, made too complex so can't maintain properly, being told it has particular functionality when it doesn't, and the list goes on.. 🔦 As independent legal tech media we are keen to shine a spotlight on some of these experiences. So legal technologists, consultants and legal ops folk it's time to share your war stories - either openly or anonymously. We're looking for content on AI at the moment - articles that discuss for example: - latest happenings and developments - useful tips on how to use in a legal capacity - typical user journeys and how AI impacts day-to-day work - thought leadership on where people see it going - thought leadership on where gen AI is on the Gartner hype cycle It would also be good to hear from people about any good/bad experiences of using it or trialling it too (can be anon if needs be!). In Review: FutureLaw '24 This year we were the media partner for FutureLaw Conference - the biggest legal innovation conference in the Baltics, and one of the biggest in Northern Europe.
