*FREELANCER/COLLECTIVE CALLOUT** Not something I have done for a while as I try to usually prioritise people on my lists already. But things have picked up a little and got a few things cooking within the studio and also freelance resource stuff that I could be needing a few hands with in not too distant future. So thought I would reach out to see if I can maybe meet some new people and lend a hand where I can to get on with Unorthodox studio projects or freelance pieces! Looking at quite a variety of projects so the net for this one could be quite wide but thought it could be worth a try. Any recommendations of people that might fall into any the below that I should be reaching out to would be amazing as well! most projects will be remote so this is NOT restricted necessarily but timezone or location. Something that occurred to me this week that I thought might be worth throwing out for some opinions on. Do agencies and brands forget these days how important the power of design actually is? Not too long ago I attended a round table about creative and creativity leading the content story telling movement. Couldn't help but think that we, in the industry, just totally ignore the power of design sometimes. Not creating design that makes us noisier, rowdier, more in-your-face or more 'famous for a day'. But using design that makes us more honest, more unobtrusive, more innovative, and more long-lasting. Design is much more than 'drawing on a piece of paper' which I think gets forgotten. It powers everything that affects and impacts people on a day to day. From our money habits to social challenges, political movements and our daily hopes and fears. Design use to create, people used to craft or believe they could truly make world differences in what they designed and created. I feel like now more than ever with budget troubles and whatever is going on in the industry these principles need to maybe come to the fore again. Be interested to see if it's just me?  Been enjoying doing these thought pieces so anyone interested in reflecting on something similar over the weekend and not familiar already. There's some great short pieces on Dieter Rams and the idea 'Less, but better' on YouTube. I am definitely going to try and implement a similar mindset myself with unorthodox moving forward next year. #design

New week new website! 🚀 🎉 Afternoon all. Stoked to finally get Unorthodox studio a new home to properly kick off proceedings www.unorthodoxstudio.co Exciting new chapter for the company coming up with this studio which is going to take offerings across the board and transform the way brands and agencies approach content creation. Brief overview for those who don't know 👉🏻 Unorthodox studio is based around changing and streamlining the way brands, agencies and studios approach internal and creative content by relieving internal pressures (shout out the overworked internal teams 🙌🏻lol) by streamlining and removing any bottlenecks or caps stopping places producing the content that their teams are capable of producing. We've all worked with/at places and thought 'how on earth does this place stay afloat and produce the work it does' with manic workflows and constantly fighting against the clock.
