Here are some of the ways you can combat the summer slump: 📮 Don’t stop posting While it is common to see a drop in engagement over the summer, going radio silent will only put you in the algorithm's bad books. Limiting your potential reach and engagement when things start to pick up. 🔥 Keep things relevant Is there a way to link your content to the summer season? Are there any promotional offers you can leverage? is there any holiday messaging you can tap into? 📱Harness the power of mobile Create content with mobile in mind. Your audience may not be at their laptops but they will certainly be on their phones. 😍 It’s competition time Boost engagement with a giveaway. Who doesn’t love free stuff? Whether you are flying solo or in partnership with another brand to offer your audience a summer treat, giveaways are a great way to build community and brand loyalty. 🩳 Keep it short and sweet Prioritise short content that doesn’t require a lot of user attention over long-form content to receive the best engagement. 🎅 Did someone say the ‘C’ word?! If you haven't already, it's a good time to lean into the quietness and get planning for activities later in the year (it's probably tooooo early to say the 'C' word, right? 👀). It’s completely normal to see a lower engagement over the summer but you don't have to write it off. While other brands are pausing their activities, you can take up valuable market space. This section is split into: 👀 General 🎨 Creation 🔎 Engagement ⭐️ Authenticity Some of the tips on offer include: ⏰ Reels between 30 - 60 seconds receive more engagement and reach. 🪝 Aim to hook users in the first 3 seconds . #️⃣ Include trending hashtags that are relevant to the topics in your reel. 👍 Like and reply to comments within 7 days to boost your engagement and reach. 🔟 Accounts seeing the most growth post 10 or more reels per month. 📈 Trending content matters.     Using emojis in B2B marketing? The world is your oyster 🦪 (Yes, there really is an oyster emoji now and we don’t know how to feel about it). While it’s true that your B2B business doesn’t NEED emojis in its social copy, using them shows that you have thought about how to make your content more engaging and eye-catching. It's not a secret that B2B copy can be a bit dry… But it doesn’t have to be. 🤖 Emojis humanise your captions, helping to prevent you from sounding like an industry robot. No one wants to read a wall of text packed with industry jargon.     I had the pleasure of helping to organise a paid social workshop for the lovely Oscar Hoyle @ Blossom LGBT CIC with Alice Smith 🎉 Blossom LGBT is a local (and now national) non-profit organisation providing supportive spaces for LGBTQ+ young adults. Helping build their careers, expand their relationships and be proud of who they are 🙌 The workshop touched upon marketing to an LGBTQ+ audience using Instagram, TikTok and YouTube with a focus on targeting and technical set-up. We are all super excited to support Blossom LGBT with their digital marketing and website plans in any way we can 🚀

    Our Client Nelsons came to us with big plans for their website. They wanted a website that would mirror their in-store experience more closely. In particular, their ‘made to order’ function was one of their core USPs they wanted to put the spotlight on 🔦 This highly personalised service provides customers with a mini consultation to help recommend the best remedies for their needs. However, this unique service was only available at their Mayfair pharmacy, and they were keen to create a digital version to benefit even more customers. By rebuilding this function within Shopify, we were able to help increase their total revenue by 375% 🚀 In addition to higher revenue, the site experienced a significant increase in both the number of visitors and overall user engagement.     How do you make Gen Z care? 👀 Gen Z are changing marketing landscape. And the hard sell approach gives them the ick like nothing else 😵 Creativity, ethics, community, and authenticity are the new metrics that Gen Z are scoring brands on when deciding whether to invest. 🔁 For Gen Z, the sales funnel doesn't work. It's all about consuming branded content in a loop. 🔍 They Constantly on the lookout for inspiration. Gen Z puts more emphasis on the communities that brands can create, this wins their loyalty. 🤿 By diving deeper into the Gen Z persona, we are in a better place to predict the future of marketing. After all, in case you hadn't noticed, we're not so young anymore! At the core, we MUST incorporate these key themes into our marketing strategies to demonstrate we understand who they are, their needs, and crucially we need to adapt to be ready to meet them.
