  • Lloyds Pharmacy Betterlife store design

While at Sector Design, we were invited to pitch for the Betterlife store design project for Lloyds Pharmacy, part of the Celesio group. Having completed research, analysis, initial concept and full pitch presentation, Sector went into administration on the day of the official pitch presentation. I still attended the presentation with a colleague and was informed later that week that we had won. The start up business, Blue Shoes incorporated the key people involved in the pitch, and I…

The start up business, Blue Shoes incorporated the key people involved in the pitch, and I approached Lloyds Pharmacy and explained the developments at Sector, along with the proposition behind Blue Shoes. We met with board members of Celesio and persuaded them to continue working with us, despite being unable to meet their due diligence and supplier appraisal processes. The store was open in August 2014 to great reviews

  • Ben Sherman Concession Proposals

Having designed and refitted the previous Ben Sherman store in Savile Row into the current Alexandre store, I approached Ben Sherman and introduced Black Olive. I taught myself Google Sketch Up, a design and visualisation software programme, and proactively modelled the complete Ben Sherman retail furniture range to secure a contract for concession sites. I visited 12 locations across the UK, measuring sites, visualising the new Ben Sherman concessions and producing proposal documents for House…

I taught myself Google Sketch Up, a design and visualisation software programme, and proactively modelled the complete Ben Sherman retail furniture range to secure a contract for concession sites. I visited 12 locations across the UK, measuring sites, visualising the new Ben Sherman concessions and producing proposal documents for House of Fraser. This evolved into further site plans and proposals in Europe and Singapore.

  • Oakley Young Business Development Methodology

At Oakley Young, I adopted a sales funnel methodology, measuring call rates, contact, meeting, pitch and sales wins analysis. Working against an established set of ratios, I delivered greater efficiency, making fewer, high quality calls and increasing conversion rates at each stage of the process. This resulted in achieving 139% of target, at £1.1m turnover – Oakley Young Associates.

  • Meat & Livestock Commission European Exhibition Contract

Having won an EJOC tender to design and build the Ministry of Agriculture Fishers and Food exhibition stand at Stoneleigh, I approached the Meat and Livestock Commission (MLC) to introduce Coleman Moore and their exhibition services. We pitched for, and won, a two year contract to design and build the British Pavilion for meat exporters at the key international food shows - SIAL and ANUGA. Project value £600,000.
