I feel that far too many major decisions are taken by boards of directors or senior leadership teams who aren’t representative of the diversity of their customer base. Which is why so much cash is left on the table. The disabled community being just one diverse community that is grossly underrepresented and underserved.

Definitely involve your colleagues, as garnering the voice of the colleague is crucial as is the voice of the customer. Any new UX project or any major new initiative will always land better if you’ve taken your colleagues and customers on the journey with you and taken on board their perspectives….even if you don’t agree with them.
