You failed to impress investors with your pitch. How can you turn those setbacks into future success?
Years ago, a good friend and mentor, who is a serial entrepreneur with several successful exits, shared a piece of advice with me that I still hold dear today. He said, “You will raise money the day there are no questions left for investors to ask.” The more founders I help with successful fundraising, the more profound I find it. You will undoubtedly have many unsuccessful pitches. However, after each one, take the time to reflect, note down the questions that were asked, and address them before your next pitch. The day you have truly addressed all potential questions/concerns before investors even ask them is the day you will successfully raise funds. Each unsuccessful pitch is an opportunity to grow, adapt, and come back stronger.

What do you do if non-technical stakeholders struggle to understand complex Web3 concepts?
A fundamental principle of a good business model or concept is that it should be easily understood by its intended audience without needing to delve into technical complexities. If you find yourself needing to delve into the 'how',consider whether you have a clear enough 'Why' and 'What' in place. Effectively explaining a business model involves focusing on value it provides and how it operates at a high level,starting with a clear and straightforward explanation of the value proposition. After establishing this understanding, people might want a better grasp of the ‘how’. This is where other insights shared so far,such as relating to familiar concepts, employing analogies, using visual aids, and incorporating case studies can be helpful.
